Talk Smart is an innovative tutoring program that enhances student learning through a unique blend of STEM-based activities, photography, craft art, and plant care. By integrating these disciplines, I create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles.
STEM activities help build critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while photography and art foster creativity and self-expression. Incorporating plant care not only teaches responsibility and biology but also connects students with nature, promoting mindfulness and a love for the environment. This holistic approach aims to make learning enjoyable and meaningful, helping students develop both academically and personally.
Photography promotes storytelling, envisioning, and visual perspectives.
Making crafts teaches there are multiple ways to complete a task, requires coordination and movement of the hands and fingers.
There are four pillars to my instruction model. There are Small Group Instruction, Personalized Learning Plans, Hands-on Instruction, and Interactive Learning Materials.

- No more than 3-4 students per group
- Groups organized by academic ability

- Students receive lessons based on their academic abiltiy
- Students are evaluated to tailor a lesson on their particular learning style

- Lessons use STEM activities and manipulatives to make learning more interesting
- Interactive Learning Material
- Students use Amplify, Starfall, Interacty, Classdojo, and Book Creator
- Book Creator and Classdojo allow students to work at home to use their skills outside the classroom
